Peter and Mirja were excellent hosts for our stay at Norwood Guest House in Balloch. Our ensuite room was very comfortable and modern, the road though reasonable busy during the day was very quiet at night. Continental breakfast was excellent and well presented. Kitchen facilities fridge freezer washing machine and dryer all available. Peter gave us excellent advice on where to eat and things to do in Balloch which is an interesting town. We rate our stay at Norwood Guest House 5 stars or 10 out of 10
Lovely, clean room with nice decor and very friendly/easygoing hosts. The breakfast was surprisingly good for the low price. I would definitely stay here again... Ask about the bike rental if you want a beautiful ride around the Country Park nearby.
Wonderful location, comfortable stay. 1. The owner is polite and helpful. 2. The apartment is clean and cozy. Having a kitchen in trip is great advantage. A washing machine is also provided. You can ask for breakfast £5pp. 3. Bus station, Balloch castle, restaurants, pubs, information centre, railway station, grocery store - yes!!! every place is so close that makes it’s location prime. 4. Roadside parking. One thing that the owner needs to add is a wall clock.
Lovely hosts. Their home made breakfast is to die for. Room is clean and bed is comfortable, but room size is quite small. Breakfast is cash only.
A comfortable, clean and welcoming guest house, just a few minutes walk from the train station and ideally placed for the country park and the Loch. Substantial and well cooked breakfasts are available at £5 a head. The room include a shower stall, teas and coffees, and good wardrobe space. Highly recommended.
Great stay with excellent facilities and great attention to detail from the host. Great choice if you're trying to save money on your hols as there is a shared guest kitchen available for use at any time during your stay. The double room we stayed in was comfortable and clean and had a convenient en-suite shower, WC and sink. The addition of extra touches, such as complementary tea, coffee, hot chocolate & biscuits a mini fridge with fresh milk, was thoughtful. Perfect location for visiting Loch Lomond and/or Glasgow. The town is well served with local buses, a railway station, and plenty of free parking, so transport is not an issue. There's a large co-op nearby in case you need to get any essentials. It's also opposite the entrance to the Ballock Castle Country Park, which is well worth exploring.
Very warm welcome from our host who gave us all the good deals in the area. Charming little room overlooking the park. Our host prepared us a delicious and rich breakfast earlier than usual because we had to hit the road again. Her husband is also very friendly and funny. A step on the road to Edinburgh that I recommend without hesitation!
I wish we could give this more than five stars. The only bad review you can see for this place is from a person who did not even stay here tells you something ! This is one of the best b & b I have ever stayed in (and I stayed in many) and is definitely the best value. everything in the hotel is arranged in a way that shows the owners want you to have a very comfortable stay! Breakfast is beyond generous and good quality. There is washing machine, dryer and well equipped kitchen for guests to use. Internet fast and bed very comfortable. Everything you want in a hotel is provided with a quality standards of a four star hotel at a bargain price. We would definitely come back to stay.
